Why Being Your Most Authentic Self Heals The World

Over time, society has tried to condition us to live our life just like everyone else.

Sometimes, we’re pressure into rushing through life for the next big thing.

You see all these trends that makes everyone look the same.

Maybe you hear, “You’re too big to wear that crop top.”

“You’re too old to be doing something like that.”

“You aren’t smart enough to accomplish that.”

I know, for me, comments like that made me close off from expressing myself authentically. I know that I’m not the only one who has been through these types of situations.

So, we start to define what’s actually “normal” and we end up putting ourselves in a box.

We become too afraid to express ourselves creatively.

We start to judge ourselves harshly for doing the wrong things.

We end up morphing our personality and outside appearance to fit in.

We become someone we are not.

Our world has become so closed-minded that we have difficulty expanding ourselves to being different.

This isn’t something we should be afraid. I truly believe that we were born to be our most authentic self.

After all my years of learning personal development and spirituality, I found that when we aren’t living our authentic self, we dishonor not only ourselves, but we are dishonoring those around us. This includes our ancestors, our community, and our soul.

Living this way involves speaking our truth with love.

Respect yourself and those around you.

Live your life to the fullest

Set boundaries when needed.

And of course, work on self-care and become better versions of us.

This is something that even I have been learning to conquer and I, at the very least, want to give you reasons why it’s important to be your most authentic-self because you deserve to live your life.

We awaken other people to do the same thing

When we start to live our most authentic life, we help inspire people around us to do the same. Every time you live authentically, you are putting in the intention for others to do the same.

Seriously, we need more people who are not afraid to be different.

It’s up to you to plant this intention in them. It’s up to them if they decide that they want to grow this seed and enjoy the fruits of their labor.

If they react negatively towards you, it just means you brought out some insecurity and fear out of them that’s been suppressing in their subconscious.

And again, that is going to be those people’s choices to face their inner demons and have that chance to change their belief systems. It’s their opportunity to grow and shine.

So sometimes you will end up attracting people who will be kind of mean to you about it. Ever heard of that phrase, “it’s just them it’s not you”?

It psychologically makes sense.

People will see something in you that they wished they could do or wish they could be. And in this case, that’s being authentic.

If it makes you feel any better and feel somewhat relatable, I’ve experienced this myself.

When I decided to turn my life around and become a better me, I received a lot of hate for it. People told me that I wasn’t going to get anywhere and honestly, it made me feel like I was unworthy of being myself.

And I’m not going to lie; it will be tough for a while. There might even be times where you will feel lonely.

Eventually, you will end up growing a thick skin and attracting people who love the real you.

So, I encourage you to live your life the way you want and be the person you want to be. I know for a fact, that you will end up looking back in your life and see that the people who put you down really aren’t living their best life.

A good reminder for you is to ask this question: ask yourself what kind of lessons do I need to learn from these people?

It could be you needed to bypass the self-doubt and believe in yourself.

It could be to love yourself more.

Generally, the people we face are the challenges we have to overcome to level up in life. You will come to learn the lesson you were supposed to discover.

This is self-development.

We spread our high vibrations to other people

When we live our life honestly, we spread “good vibes” to those around us.

This is especially good for people who easily take on other people’s vibrations. If you feel good about yourself, you encourage other people to feel good about them selves. This ends up becoming a domino effect.

The higher we live in our vibration, the more good you see in this world. It may be hard to see this considering outside sources like social media and the news try to instill fear into our mind.

We, as a collective, need to do our best to block out the negative energy and continue to live our life authentically so that this good energy can one day overpower the fear that people think we should be afraid of.

Spread love. Not war.

We help heal this world together

I’m pretty sure we can all agree that this world has a lot of healing to do.

When you live your life honestly, you are healing yourself spiritually and everyone else around you.

We are all spiritually connected to one another. So when your spirit is healed, you help other people’s spirit to be healed also.

The best way to heal yourself is to be yourself, because one of the worst things you can do to yourself is be someone you are not.

That doesn’t help you in anyway, does it?

If you can’t help yourself, how do you expect to help those around you?

Remember the saying, “fill your cup because you can’t pour from an empty cup”?

That’s basically what I’m getting at here. So if you want to see the world in a better place, then do us all a favor and be yourself.

We heal our ancestral and generational trauma

I’m sure there are a lot of people out there who were taught since childhood that you had to be a certain way. In my opinion, throughout my years of spirituality and even in therapy, a lot of this comes from our parents.

And although our parents try to have the best for us, sometimes it’s doing more harm than good.

I mean think about it. Why are we the way we are?

Obviously because of our parents, which is why you may hear a lot of things from people like “you’re just like your father” or “you act like your mother”. You know, comments like that.

And I bet your parents took on their persona from their parents, and then your grandparents took their persona from their parent, and so on.

I know this is going based off of my opinion, but I’m going to tell you this right now, you are not obligated to take on your parents traumas, because that’s basically what a lot of our parents do to us whether they realize it or not.

You get to choose what kind of path you want to take in life.

You get to choose what kind of person you truly want to be.

You get to choose how you want to live your life.

Just because you grew up a certain way doesn’t mean you have to take on your parents belief system. At the end of the day, they are responsible for their healing as well as you are responsible for your healing.

So if you want to take a different career path that may seem a little risky and out of the norm compared to your family, do it.

If you want to dress a certain way even if you become an outcast of your environment, do it.

If you have big dreams, big goals, and a huge drive to go after what you want in life, do it.

Go be your most authentic self; however that may look like to you because you will be the start of healing your generational and ancestral trauma.

Chances are, you probably have ancestors who have struggled with the same feelings of being authentic as you have and someone has got to start shifting those feelings.

Be the change.

Your ancestors and generations to come will thank you.
