When I found out I was pregnant with my first born, I was curious on how my first pregnancy would go if I used the power of reiki. I wanted to see if reiki energy could help me alleviate common pregnancy symptoms that I’ve heard many others struggle with.
You see, I was attuned to perform reiki healing a few years back and I haven’t gotten too many chances to practice on other people besides myself and my husband.
I know that going through pregnancy is one of the biggest transformations that you could go through.
I mean when you think about it, you’re representing a literal spiritual portal for your baby’s spirit.
That also means you are embodying the purest, divine energy that your Higher Self could give you.
And if you’re new to reiki healing, reiki is basically divine energy straight from Source. When it comes to performing reiki, you are representing yourself as a vessel to transfer divine energy through you into the people you are performing on.
Of course, you can perform reiki on yourself, which was highly encouraged by my Reiki master to do it as often on yourself as possible.
I wanted to see how my pregnancy would go if I implemented reiki on myself throughout my pregnancy to see if I could experience an easier pregnancy.
Now, I do want to mention that reiki is NOT a replacement for any medical advice or medical information!
My findings on reiki are NOT to override anything medical and I encourage you to do what’s best for your body!
I am NOT a doctor and I’m ONLY sharing my spiritual experience with reiki energy.
Whether you are someone who is a reiki healer yourself, want to get certified in reiki healing, or if you ever go into a reiki session for the experience, I wanted to share with you some surprising realizations on how reiki helped me through pregnancy!
By using the power of reiki healing, I actually avoided morning sickness!
I will say I didn’t have much of an appetite in the first trimester and I only had a few foods that I was ok with eating.
So, I wasn’t completely exempt to every pregnancy symptom, but I didn’t feel nauseous throughout my pregnancy, which I’ve heard from many others that the nausea was the worst part of pregnancy.
There were some times I felt an upset stomach coming up, but I would use reiki healing and imagine the stagnant energy leaving my solar plexus.
And it worked out so well for me that I was quite surprised myself!
Because I was able to keep the nausea away, I was able to live my life as I normally would!
I never get migraines, so this wasn’t something I was expecting to experience until it hit me.
The migraines would only get really bad if I wasn’t eating enough, which I honestly wasn’t in my first trimester because NOTHING sounded good to me.
So, whenever I would feel a migraine coming on, I would perform reiki and place the energy from the palm of my hands to my forehead.
For me, reiki is the easiest to feel within my head and third eye area, so this practice was instant relief for me!
If you’ve ever been pregnant yourself, you know how much your body works hard just dealing with pregnancy itself.
I found that using reiki healing, especially when I wake up in the morning, actually helped me feel less tired and fatigue throughout the day.
Even throughout my first trimester, especially with it being the hardest trimester, I was able to work out throughout the week like I always did.
According to others and people in my personal life that were or are pregnant, I had an unusual amount of energy throughout my pregnancy.
I do like to think that reiki energy has helped assist me with the extra spiritual energy to carry me throughout the day.
Towards the tail end of my first trimester, I had experienced what was called a subchorionic hematoma (SCH for short).
To keep it brief, SCH is bleeding that happens when there’s a problem with the placenta connecting to the uterine wall and creating a small wound.
This can be mistaken as implantation bleeding, but if it’s more bleeding than normal, obviously it’s something more serious.
I had discovered this after an evening workout and it honestly was scary because I truly thought I was going to lose the baby.
With SCH, the only thing that doctors will usually recommend is pelvic rest.
So, no heavy lifting, no straining, and plenty of bed rest.
Now, again, this isn’t medical advice and I’m not a medical professional, but I like to believe in miracles. I have already mentioned before that I had many interesting spiritual experiences where there was no explanation on how it worked out.
Call me woo-woo, call me crazy, but when I had SCH, I used reiki to make the bleeding of my SCH stop sooner than what was expected.
The bleeding had subsided even from day one and it took about a week for my SCH to heal up, which was showcased through my ultrasounds.
When I researched more on other people’s experiences with SCH, I realize I was able to heal mine a lot quicker than the average time it takes for SCH to heal.
Of course, this can also depend on the size of the wound, but I still wanted to share what I experienced.
If you ever been to a reiki session, it feels like you’re experiencing a wave of calmness, which is what I needed when it comes to experiencing pregnancy, especially since this was my first-born child.
This was especially true when it comes to those times where you don’t feel your baby kicking for an extended period of time.
Any time I performed reiki healing on my belly: INSTANT baby kicks.
My baby would have one heck of a party whenever I performed self-reiki sessions on myself.
Reiki healing also helped whenever I felt overwhelmed or when I needed to ease my mind enough to sleep. It helped TREMENDOUSLY with my sleep, especially when you’re getting into the “pregnancy tired” stage.
If you’ve ever been pregnant before, you know the difference between “pregnancy tired” and “newborn tired”.
So luckily, I didn’t experience too much anxiety when it came to my first pregnancy.
At first, I had a low-lying placenta which means my placenta was getting a little too close for comfort towards my cervix area.
The reason why this can become an issue is that it blocks baby from going out and people who ended up having a low-lying placenta end up having a c-section if it doesn’t end up resolving itself.
I personally had time since my belly hadn’t grown much, but I still wanted to make sure I was able to have a vaginal birth.
With reiki, I used reiki to communicate to my unborn child and tell her to shift herself towards the side. I imagined her to be on my right side with the placenta on my left side so that I knew for sure it wouldn’t be in the way.
I was doing this for a couple weeks straight and when I got my ultrasound to see where my placenta was located, it was exactly how I imagined it would be in the exact positions I used reiki on.
In the end, I was able to have a successful vaginal birth with my baby girl!
